The ViP222 can be viewed as an enhanced model DISH 322 receiver that includes HD outputs on TV1, plus the option of Single or Dual Mode. It is the perfect 'upstairs' or 'bedroom' solution: a customer who wants to set up a home theatre using a ViP222 DVR and surround sound downstairs can install a ViP222 as their HD solution upstairs.
